when I went to bed I was 67. When I woke up this morning I was 68. That gives me good reason to celebrate all day!
My favorite number is 8, because the number 8 signifies New Beginnings!
YES — Being 68 is fantastic!!!!!!!
I am very excited to enter my next year of life filled with New Beginnings!!!!!!!!
When I stepped on the scale six months ago, on Monday morning January 6, I looked at the number on the scale and wrote it on a 3×5 card along with the date and time. I made a commitment to lose 50 pounds as part of my strategy to “Be Prepared” for whatever is coming our way. This morning when I stepped on the scale there was 40 pounds less of me than there was six months ago!! I’m down 40 pounds with 10 more to go. When I reach my goal of losing those 50 pounds I will re-evaluate if I need to lose any more.
The biggest factor for me was transforming my mental attitude and my decision making regarding eating. Momentary, short-term pleasure had to give way to enduring, long-term better health. The arthritis in my knees and feet appreciate my wiser decision making. Disciplined eating is less fun in the moment, but more enjoyable long term.
Join me in praying these scriptures to our Papa God.
Genesis 1:1In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (ESV)
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (ESV)
Revelation 12: 10-11 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. (ESV)
Holy Spirit please continue speaking to our hearts and spirits through Your Word and Your witness in Your world.
